Position Summary:
The SEO Manager leads the strategic direction and execution of our Search Intelligence initiatives across client accounts.
This role goes beyond traditional SEO. The SEO Manager helps develop and implement comprehensive search strategies that integrate SEO, AIO, AEO, GEO, local search optimization, content authority, and technical performance into a unified marketing ecosystem with the clients’ broader initiatives.
This individual understands that search is evolving. Google is integrating AI into its core product. Authority, structure, content quality, EEAT signals, social indicator, and technical integrity all contribute to visibility across organic search, AI overviews, local results, and generative responses.
A successful SEO Manager thinks holistically. Search does not operate in isolation. It must align with paid media, social, content, video, and brand positioning to create compounding authority and sustained demand capture.
Essential Functions:
Search Strategy Development
- Develop comprehensive Search Intelligence strategies aligned with client growth objectives.
- Integrate SEO, AIO, AEO, GEO, and local SEO into a cohesive roadmap.
- Align search strategy with broader paid media, content, and brand initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for authority building, topical expansion, and competitive moat development.
Technical & On-Site Optimization
- Audit and optimize site architecture, internal linking structures, technical performance, and schema implementation.
- Collaborate with Web Services to implement technical improvements.
- Ensure sites are optimized for crawlability, indexation, structured data, and AI extraction readiness.

Content & Authority Development
- Partner with VP of Digital, Content Strategists, Social Strategists, and Video Producers to develop high-impact content frameworks.
- Guide content production around search intent, topical clusters, and semantic authority.
- Ensure content is structured to perform in traditional SERPs and AI-driven search experiences.
- Optimize for EEAT signals including authorship, credibility, trust indicators, and citation strategies.
Local & Competitive Intelligence
- Develop local SEO strategies for single and multi-location law firms.
- Oversee Google Business Profile optimization and local authority building.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify gaps and strategic opportunities.
- Leverage internal tools and data partnerships for ongoing search intelligence.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track organic performance, AI visibility trends, rankings, traffic quality, and conversion metrics.
- Translate data into actionable insights and strategic adjustments.
- Present strategic updates to internal stakeholders and clients.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Paid Media, Social Strategy, Creative, and Client Success teams.
- Ensure search strategy supports and amplifies broader marketing efforts.
- Provide internal education on evolving search behaviors and platform changes.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:
- Search Ecosystem Thinking: Deep understanding of modern search including SEO, AI integration, generative results, and evolving SERP behavior.
- Technical SEO Expertise: Strong grasp of site structure, schema, internal linking, crawl optimization, and page performance.
- Content Strategy Acumen: Ability to align search intent with structured content development and topical authority building.
- Local SEO Proficiency: Experience managing and scaling local visibility for multi-location brands.
- Analytical Strength: Ability to interpret GA4, Search Console, keyword tools, and competitive intelligence platforms.
- Strategic Vision: Thinks long term about authority, moat building, and sustainable visibility.
- Collaboration: Works effectively across content, paid, web development, and strategy teams.
Education and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred.
- Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- 3+ years of experience in SEO strategy and execution, preferably within an agency or performance-driven environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical SEO initiatives and content authority strategies.
- Experience working with tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4, and similar platforms.
- Experience working with law firms or competitive local service industries is a plus
- Strong understanding of how search integrates with broader paid and brand strategies.
Work Environment

- This role includes periodic travel for client meetings, market visits, strategy sessions, content shoots, and other hands-on initiatives where in-person collaboration adds value.
- We operate with flexible daytime working hours, with the expectation of responsiveness, professionalism, and alignment with client needs and team collaboration.
