Position Summary:

The Digital Content Strategist is responsible for researching, writing, editing, optimizing, and publishing online content, primarily for service/practice area pages and blog posts, with occasional support for landing page content. This role supports content quality, SEO performance, and user engagement through clear, accurate, and well-structured writing.

The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented self-starter who can manage multiple assignments, collaborate with internal teams, and contribute to a fast-paced content production environment. Training on internal systems and workflows will be provided.

Essential Functions:

  • Research topics and target audiences to produce accurate, relevant, and useful content.
  • Write original website content, blog posts and occasional landing page content aligned with brand voice and marketing goals.
  • Edit and optimize content for clarity, structure, readability, and search performance.
  • Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to support research, outlining, and optimization workflows while maintaining originality, accuracy, and editorial quality standards.
  • Review and improve content provided by other writers to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with project objectives.
  • Consolidate competing and/or duplicate content to improve content quality, relevance, and site organization.
  • Apply internal linking best practices by linking to relevant pages within content to improve navigation, topical relevance, and SEO performance.
  • Perform keyword and topic research to support SEO-focused content planning and optimization.
  • Format and publish content within the content management system (CMS) according to internal standards.
  • Revise content based on feedback, performance insights, and evolving best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with SEO, web development, design, paid media, and account management teams to align content initiatives with broader marketing objectives.
  • Communicate content requirements clearly for implementation, ensuring work is completed accurately and in alignment with company best practices.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing insights, recommendations, and process improvements that support consistent execution.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

  • 2–3+ years of experience writing and editing online content (websites, landing pages, blogs, or similar digital formats).
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted content workflows and the ability to use them responsibly to improve efficiency without compromising quality (preferred).
  • Ability to perform detailed research across a wide range of topics and industries.
  • Experience with keyword research and SEO content optimization.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices (preferred), including search intent, content structure, and internal linking.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter and effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with others, share ideas, and respond well to constructive feedback.
  • Clear internal communication skills and comfort working within task/project management workflows.
  • Basic HTML knowledge and CMS experience preferred (but not required for the right candidate).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience writing content for law firms is preferred but not essential.
